This week was the end of my Thelma and Louise road trip with Megan and then showing her around Seattle. Hutch got pinkeye and there was a power outage at Briar’s school because of a windstorm, so I couldn’t even go back to work. On Tuesday, I finally got back to the office, but started feeling sick again. I pushed through the week, but went to the doc on Thursday afternoon and found out that I have a reactivation of Epstein Barr and cytomegalovirus. In addition, my naturopath diagnosed me with Coxsackie virus. This explains the strep, the flu/cold thing and my pretty extreme fatigue in the last few weeks. Since they are viruses, I can’t do much other than try to boost my immunity and reduce the viral load. Wish me luck!
This week was another crazy one. On Friday, I got the WORST cold/flu (on top of my strep) and then spent the day in bed. I powered through the weekend (but not gracefully). On Tuesday, I flew to Dallas and began my four-day “Thelma & Louise” road trip with my oldest friend, Megan. One second each day isn’t enough to do justice to this trip, so I’ll have to do another post for that.
Another week of posting late *and* I missed 2 videos because of an INSANE week at work.
More wackiness at BJ’s, Elsa and Anna at Bed, Bath & Beyond, fun in the cul-de-sac, getting my 10k steps on my new treadmill desk, kids doing yoga and then pretty much nothing else interesting except me getting stuck in traffic on the way to book club because of a police chase.
I threw in more photos at the bottom. I had a lovely chai tea on my way to see Thomas for a haircut, a typical Saturday morning finds me covered in kids and cats, we took the kids to our first Town Hall to see our representatives, and I went to another spin/yoga class! I also just love the picture of Hutch driving Briar around with his arm around her. We’ll be lucky of that happens when they get older. :)
I bet you thought I forgot! (Since I’m posting this 3 weeks later.) But I didn’t! Wahoo. A full 7 days worth.
Dinner out at BJ’s, Valentine’s Day Date (only captured in pics below), my 10 year anniversary at Microsoft, President’s Day out of school at the bounce place, a trip to Build-a-Bear, Hutch’s Mid-Winter Break at another school, a new yoga/spin combo class and my new treadmill desk at work are all highlights of this week!
